Netflix Party is a Chrome extension that allows you to watch Netflix remotely with friends and family. With this extension, you can synchronize video playback and even chat in real-time while watching. To use Party, you simply need to install the extension in your Chrome browser, start a Netflix video, and then create a “party” link to share with your friends. They can join the party by clicking the link and then enjoy the movie or show together with synchronized playback and chat functionality.

Below are the steps to answer the question of how to host a Party. You can follow these steps to set it up:

• Download and install the extension.
• Open Netflix and start playing a video.
• The color of the Teleparty extension icon in the address bar will change from gray to red. Click on it.
• A small window titled “Create a Netflix Party” will appear. If you check the box that says “Only I have control,” you will be the only one able to pause or resume the stream. If not selected, anyone can pause the movie. Click on the “Start the party” button.
• Another window with a link will appear. Click on “Copy URL” and share the link with your friends. If needed, you can find the same link again by clicking on the Netflix Party extension icon.
