The Watch D2,Huawei’s new smartwatch with blood pressure monitoring will be unveiled soon

After long-standing rumors, Huawei is finally ready to reveal its next-generation smartwatch, the Watch D2. According to recent information on the China-based social media platform Weibo, this new wearable device, has successfully obtained a medical device license in China. This license confirms that the device meets all legal requirements and has passed official inspections, allowing it to be sold as a medical device in China. Although Huawei has not yet confirmed the official name of the device, its designation as a “Wrist-Based Ambulatory Blood Pressure Recorder” suggests it is the successor to the Watch D.

The license covers three different model numbers (LCA-B10, LCA-B11, LCA-B12), indicating that Huawei plans to offer multiple variants within the same series. While there isn’t much information about the design and features of the Watch D2, leaks confirm that the device will include a main unit, a wristband, and a wireless charging base. The Watch D2 will be able to monitor both systolic and diastolic blood pressure and measure heart rate for users aged 18 and over. This suggests that the device may offer enhanced health monitoring capabilities.

Expected Features and Launch Details of Huawei Watch D2

Rumors also suggest that Huawei might launch the Watch D2 alongside its flagship Mate 70 smartphone. The simultaneous release of these two devices highlights Huawei’s efforts to create synergy between wearable technology and mobile devices. Many believe that Huawei will release the Watch D2 alongside the Mate 70.

The previous model, the Watch D, featured a rectangular design and a 1.64-inch AMOLED display. It stood out with health-focused features such as blood pressure monitoring and ECG analysis. Although the new features of the Watch D2 are not yet clear, Huawei is expected to extend battery life, improve the design, or introduce new health tracking technologies. With this new step in health monitoring, Huawei may aim to offer its users a more comprehensive experience.
