Microsoft Flight Simulator Received the Largest World Update in its History
Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update XVII: United Kingdom and Ireland is now available as a free update. Players on Xbox Series X/S, PC, Game Pass, and Cloud Gaming can now explore the new content.
The Biggest World Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator
The new Microsoft Flight Simulator update will include new Points of Interest (POIs) that players can visit and new landing challenges to test their skills. Players will also experience improvements to aerial imagery of the entire region. These improvements come with the aid of high-resolution Digital Elevation Maps for England, Scotland, and Ireland.
Additionally, the new update promises enhanced quality for it. The improvements come with the latest aerial imagery, digital elevation modeling (including LiDAR coverage), TIN (triangulated irregular network) modeling, and a mixture of handcrafted airports designed to enhance your gameplay experience.
World Update XVII includes in Microsoft Flight Simulator:

- In England: Bristol, Brighton, Greater London, Heathrow, Leeds-Bradford, Liverpool, Newcastle-Sunderland, Welling, and Wembley
- In Ireland: Cork, Dublin, and Cliffs of Moher/Liscannor
- In Scotland: Edinburgh and Glasgow
- In Wales: Cardiff

79 Points of Interest (POIs):
- 31 in England, 13 in Ireland, 5 on the Isle of Man, 11 in Northern Ireland, 1 in Orkney/Scotland, 9 in Scotland, and 10 in Wales.

- Farnborough Airport (EGLF) and London Stansted Airport (EGSS) in England
